We are pleased to share several recent achievements that demonstrate Luso’s continued investment in quality, environmental responsibility, health and safety, cybersecurity and technical expertise.
Maintaining Our Accredited Management Systems
Following our recent audit, Luso has successfully retained its ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications. This continued certification reflects our ongoing commitment to quality management, environmental responsibility and maintaining high standards of health and safety for our employees.
Expanded Scope at Milton Keynes
A particularly positive outcome from the audit was the expansion of the ISO 9001 certification scope at our Milton Keynes facility. The site’s certification now formally includes the supply of power transmission, electrical and engineering components, together with the provision of assembly services. This complements the site’s existing activities of programming, kitting and distribution services, and further strengthens our capability at this location.
Renewed Cyber Essentials Certification
We have also successfully renewed our Cyber Essentials certification, providing continued assurance that cybersecurity remains a key focus across the business. Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed cybersecurity scheme that provides independent verification that key technical controls are in place to help protect against common cyber threats.
Investing in Technical Expertise
At the same time, we are continuing to invest in our people. Four additional members of the team have recently achieved IPC/WHMA-A-620 Modules 1 and 2 certifications, the internationally recognised standard for cable and wire harness assemblies. This training supports high standards of workmanship, inspection and reliability in wiring and crimping activities, further expanding our in-house capability.
